After completing this week’s readings, videos, podcasts, and John’s Hopkins Module, compose a post that highlights the management of various outbreaks throughout history. Compare and contrast the trends related to the diseases as highlighted in the following questions:

1. What role did cats play in stopping the Bolivian Hemorrhagic Fever epidemic? What part of the Machupo story struck you?
2. How did the US manage Leprosy? What is the impact of leprosy in the modern world?
3. Have there been ways to approach the management of Lyme Disease and other tickborne illnesses that are like those of other outbreaks?
4. What actions from these historical outbreaks might compare to those that have been taken worldwide to contain the COVID-19 pandemic?
